It's About the Kids Inc., In-Person Community Meeting

In-person community meetings at the MLK Jr. Community Center in Dallas, TX take place from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and bring together neighbors, parents, youth, young adults, seniors, and whole families to listen, brainstorm solutions, and share practical resources and knowledge. These gatherings create a welcoming space for identifying local needs—from youth programming and job-readiness to senior services and family supports—and for co-creating action plans that connect people to existing services, volunteer opportunities, and skill-building workshops. Facilitators guide focused discussions so all voices are heard, community expertise is amplified, and concrete next steps are agreed upon, ensuring that ideas move from conversation to measurable outcomes that strengthen families and empower young people across the neighborhood.** These meetings happen on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month.
